A Pakistani man wanted on charges of ordering illegal nuclear components has been extradited from Britain to Germany, the Press Trust of India reported today. Iqtidar Mahmood Dara, who lives in Pakistan, was arrested on a European arrest warrant on behalf of Germany when he entered Britain on April 4 this year. The arrest warrant was issued against 44-year-old Dara for allegedly ordering illegal nuclear equipment. He was deported from Heathrow airport Monday. It is alleged that between August 14, 2002 and November 24, 2003 he ordered a liquid waste monitor, two detection systems and an alpha-gamma spectrometry system from a chemist in Germany for use in the development of nuclear arms in Pakistan. After his arrest, Dara was remanded in custody and first appeared at City of Westminster Magistrates Court in the UK on April 5. His extradition was ordered by a court on May 8 and after losing appeals he was extradited Monday.
