Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is also Honorary President of the Arab Water Council and Chairman of the Council of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water, warned Arab countries here today against acts of water terrorism that they might become subject to, considering this new threat as equal to political terrorism. In his address to the meeting of the Arab Executive Council for Water, Prince Khalid bin Sultan said that terrorist operations to poison and contaminate rivers and groundwater is a global threat to life and to the future of humanity. Arab world is now facing the scarcity of water supplies due to water excessive consumption and mismanagement of drinking water, he said and highlighted the urgency to set immediate and comprehensive plans to resolve this problem. He drew the attention to the importance of facing the plots of a country that confessed that %40 of its water resources spring from the West Bank and that it has occupied the waters of Jordan, Lebanon and Syria and dreams of the River Nile and Euphrates waters, Prince Khalid said.
