India handed over to Pakistan 33 Pakistani civilian prisoners and 10 fishermen on Saturday at the Wagah border, officials said. Officials of Pakistan High Commission (embassy) in New Delhi were present at the border on the occasion. Pakistan and India have exchanged prisoners on more than a couple of times since last year when the home secretaries of the two countries reached an understanding on the issue in their meeting held in Islamabad in 2006. In the meantime, India is awaiting nationality confirmation of 48 other fishermen and they would be repatriated immediately thereafter.
