THE UNDERSECRETARY OF MINISTRY OF LABOR FOR LABOR AFFAIRS AHMED BIN ABDULRAHMAN AL-ZAMIL RECEIVED HERE TODAY THE INDONESIAN MINISTER OF MANPOWER AND TRANSMIGRATION ERMAN SUPARNO WHO IS CURRENTLY VISITING THE KINGDOM. DURING THE MEETING, THEY DISCUSSED WAYS OF COOPERATION BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES IN THE FIELD OF WORK AND LABOR. THE INDONESIAN MINISTER THANKED THE SAUDI GOVERNMENT FOR TAKING CARE OF THE INDONESIAN LABOR WORKING IN THE KINGDOM. HE ALSO THANKED THE MINISTRY OF LABOR FOR ITS KEENNESS TO PRESERVE THE INDONESIAN LABOR RIGHTS. ON HIS PART, THE UNDERSECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF LABOR ASSERTED THAT LABOR LAW IN THE KINGDOM DOES NOT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN SAUDI AND FOREIGN WORKERS, POINTING OUT THAT THE MINISTRY OF LABOR ESTABLISHED A DEPARTMENT FOR NON-SAUDI WORKERS WHICH RECEIVES ANY COMPLAINT FROM EXPATRIATE WORKERS AND PURSUE THEIR RIGHTS. THE MEETING WAS ATTENDED BY INDONESIAN AMBASSADOR TO THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA AND A NUMBER OF OFFICIALS.
