Rice heading to Paris for talks on Darfur crisis

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will
travel to Paris later this month for talks on the crisis in Sudan's
Darfur region, the US State Department said Thursday, according to dpa.
Rice will also meet with new French President Nicholas Sarkozy and
Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora during the trip Sunday and
Monday, spokesman Sean McCormack said.
Rice will attend an international meeting Monday on the
deteriorating situation in Darfur hosted by French Foreign Minister
Bernard Kouchner.
