Accord signed for US economic assistance for Pakistan

The United States and Pakistan have signed an agreement for $200 million in direct US economic support for Pakistan's Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the new financial year 2007-08, said an official statement.
The agreement was signed by the US Charge d Affaires, Peter W. Bodde, director of the US Agency for International Development or USAID Mission Director, Anne Aarnes, Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and Economic Affairs Division Secretary Akram Malik.
