Two women in the United States gave birth to sextuplets in a space of less than 10 hours, US media reported Tuesday. A 24-year-old woman in Minneapolis, Minnesota gave birth to four boys and two girls just before midnight Sunday, while a 32-year-old woman in Phoenix, Arizona bore three boys and three girls, US network ABC reported. All 12 babies were born dangerously underweight and the six babies of the 24-year-old were all in critical condition. Both mothers had sought fertility treatment.
