One of Italian genius Leonardo da Vinci's most important manuscripts, the Codex Leicester, is on display in Dublin from Tuesday, according to dpa. The work of the 16th century artist and thinker will be displayed under tight security at the Chester Beatty Library. The 36-page document, which contains more than 300 da Vinci drawings, sketches and graphics, is owned by Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates. The Codex Leicester is da Vinci's only work now in private ownership. Library director Michael Ryan said, he expected numerous fans of US author Dan Brown's book and film The Da Vinci Code to visit the exhibition. The exhibition will be open until August 12. The manuscript has been displayed in, among others, Italy, France and New York in recent years.
