One person was killed Saturday and several were injured when a hostage drama in a restaurant ended in Cape Town, according to DPA. The dead person was believed to have been the hostage taker, the private broadcaster e-tv reported Saturday. "The police went in. Several shots were fireda and the suspect, (the alleged hostage-taker), a 26-year-old male, was fatally wounded," Inspector Bernadine Steyn said. Police led a woman away in handcuffs and several streets had been evacuated. There was also a gas leak. Police said the incident had begun earlier Saturday when an armed man stormed the restaurant in Long Street. One man in the restaurant had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and a passer-by was hit by a stray bullet, police sources said.
