Bolton signed former England midfielder Gavin McCann from Aston Villa today, reported the Associated Press. The 29-year-old McCann, who played his only international in Sven-Goran Eriksson's first match as England coach in 2001, signed a three-year contract and cost an undisclosed transfer fee. He passed a medical test and will join his teammates for preseason training at the end of the month. McCann is Bolton's second offseason signing after defender Jlloyd Samuel agreed to move on a free transfer from Villa last month. -- SPA
