THE VALUE OF THE KINGDOM'S NON-PETROLEUM EXPORTS IN MARCH 2007 INCREASED TO SR 8744 MILLION FROM SR 4228 MILLION IN MARCH 2006, ACCORDING TO A REPORT RELEASED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL STATISTICS AND DATA AT THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND PLANNING ON THE KINGDOM'S NON-PETROLEUM EXPORTS IN MARCH 2007. THE REPORT SAID THE PETROCHEMICALS TOPPED THE LIST OF THE EXPORTS AMOUNTING TO SR 2470 MILLION.. THEY WERE FOLLOWED BY THE PLASTIC MATERIALS WHICH AMOUNTED TO SR 1876 MILLION. THE RE-EXPORTED COMMODITIES AMOUNTED TO SR 1786 MILLION, THE ORDINARY METALS AND THEIR DERIVATIVES AMOUNTED TO SR 706 MILLION, WHILE THE VALUE OF THE REST COMMODITIES AMOUNTED TO SR 1906 MILLION. AS REGARDS THE VALUE OF IMPORTS IN MARCH 2007, IT INCREASED TO SR 25777 MILLION FROM SR18285 MILLION IN THE SAME PERIOD LAST YEAR. EXPORTS TO THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE) AMOUNTED TO SR 1388 MILLION, TO CHINA AMOUNTED TO SR 590 MILLION, TO KUWAIT AMOUNTED TO SR 548 MILLION AND TO THE REST OF THE COUNTRIES TO SR 6218 MILLION. THE VALUE OF THE COMMODITIES IMPORTED FROM THE GCC MEMBER STATES IN MARCH 2007 INCREASED TO SR 1166 MILLION FROM SR 1180 MILLION IN THE SAME PERIOD LAST YEAR. THE KINGDOM'S NON-PETROLEUM EXPORTS TO THE GCC MEMBER STATES IN MARCH 2007 JUMPED TO SR 2150 MILLION FROM SR 1603 MILLION IN MARCH 2006.
