The General Directorate of the Civil Defense today assured citizens and expatriates that the Gonu Cyclone which hit the Omani capital Muscat this morning is not dangerous to the Saudi Territories. "Gonu will affect the Eastern coastal areas of Oman to the South of Muscat and the eastern heights. The Cyclone will lead to heavy rain and flood caused by strong and devastating winds," the directorate said. The Cyclone will also head to the southern coast of Iran. "It will not affect the Saudi airspace except the Western Province where there will be mild winds and formation of clouds."
