India and Brazil, two of the world's largest emerging economies, Monday agreed to boost their business and strategic ties by signing seven pacts in areas ranging from space, trade and energy to academic exchanges, officials said. The accords were signed at the conclusion of talks between Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in New Delhi, dpa reported. Singh and Lula held discussions on bilateral, regional and global issues including quadrupling bilateral trade to 10 billion dollars by 2010, civilian nuclear energy cooperation, promotion of bio-fuels and cooperation on issues like global trade, climate change and expansion of the United Nations Security Council.
