THE FIRST MEETING FOR THE GCC WORKING TEAM ASSIGNED TO CONDUCT A FEASIBILITY STUDY ON THE USAGE OF ATOMIC ENERGY FOR USEFUL PURPOSES, BEGAN HERE TODAY. SPEAKING ON THE OCCASION, GCC SECRETARY GENERAL ABDULRAHMAN AL-ATIYYAH SAID THE GCC AT THEIR SUMMIT HELD IN RIYADH IN DECEMBER, 2006, ISSUED THEIR DIRECTIVES TO START CONDUCTING A JOINT STUDY ON BENEFITING FROM THE NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGY FOR PEACEFUL PURPOSES IN LINE WITH THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS AND SYSTEMS.
