ABDULRAHMAN BIN HAMAD AL-ATIYYAH, SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL, HELD A PRESS CONFERENCE HERE TODAY TO HIGHLIGHT SOME AGENDA OF THE FORTHCOMING GCC CONSULTATIVE BIANNUAL SUMMIT SCHEDULED FOR RIYADH ON TUESDAY. HE SAID THERE ARE THREE PIVOTAL ITEMS IN THE ECONOMIC FIELD TO BE DISCUSSED BY THE LEADERS DURING THE CONSULTATIVE MEETING. THEY ARE THE TRANSITIONAL PERIOD IN THE AFTERMATH OF ESTABLISHING THE CUSTOMS UNION, THE GCC JOINT MARKET AND SOME INTEGRATION PROJECTS, INCLUDING THE WATER GID PROJECT.
