THE SAUDI INNOVATION CONFERENCE FOR 2007 BEGAN HERE TODAY ITS ACTIVITIES. THE CONFERENCE IS ORGANIZED BY THE PRESIDENCY OF THE CLUBS OF THE SAUDI STUDENTS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND IRELAND. THE CONFERENCE'S INAUGURAL SESSION WAS ATTENDED BY SAUDI CULTURAL ATTACHE IN BRITAIN ABDULLAH AL-NASSER AND A NUMBER OF SENIOR OFFICIALS. THE CONFERENCE WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY RIYADH-BASED IMAM MOHAMMED BIN SAUD ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, AIMS AT SHEDDING LIGHT ON THE DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRESS ATTAINED IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA. IT ALSO AIMS AT SHEDDING LIGHT ON THE STUDIES AND RESEARCHES CONDUCTED BY THE SAUDI STUDENTS, WHO ARE ON SCHOLARSHIPS AT THE BRITISH UNIVERSITIES. AHMAD AL-ZAHRANI, THE PRESIDENT OF THE CLUBS OF THE SAUDI STUDENTS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND IRELAND, SAID THE CONFERENCE IS KEEN ON ENHANCING RELATIONS BETWEEN THE OFFICIALS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AT THE RESEARCH CENTERS IN THE KINGDOM AND THEIR COUNTERPARTS AT THE BRITISH UNIVERSITIES AND RESEARCH CENTERS.
