An Indonesian businessman who pleaded guilty in a plot to buy hundreds of handguns, machine guns, air-to-air missiles and aviation radar equipment for export to his home country was sentenced Friday to four years in a U.S. federal prison. Hadianto Djoko Djuliarso pleaded guilty in January to conspiracy to violate the Arms Export Control Act and money laundering, according to AP. Djuliarso has been in custody for a little more than a year, leaving about three years left in his sentence. He will be deported upon his release and only would be allowed to re-enter the U.S. with the permission of the attorney general or a federal court. Djuliarso, the last of four businessmen to plead guilty to conspiring to violate the act, also agreed to forfeit about $600,000 (¤443,557) seized during the investigation. He was arrested in April 2006 along with men from Indonesia, Singapore and the United Kingdom. -- SPA
