BASHIR AND CHAD'S PRESIDENT IDRISS DEBY TO THE KING'S INITIATIVE AND ENDEAVORS AT THE RECONCILIATION MEETING WHICH RESULTED IN SIGNING A BILATERAL AGREEMENT TO DEVELOP AND ENHANCE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES. THE KING HOPED THAT THIS AGREEMENT WILL ACHIEVE THE COMMON INTERESTS OF THE TWO COUNTRIES AND THEIR ASPIRATIONS FOR SECURITY, STABILITY AND PEACE. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE CABINET RENEWED THE KINGDOM'S SUPPORT FOR ACHIEVING SECURITY AND STABILITY IN IRAQ AND SAFE-GUARDING IT AWAY FROM FOREIGN INTERVENTION IN ITS INTERNAL AFFAIRS, NOTING THAT IRAQ INTERNATIONAL COVENANT CONFERENCE AND INTERNATIONAL MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE OF IRAQ'S NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES HELD IN SHARM AL-SHEIKH DEMAND THAT ALL SHOULD COME TOGETHER AND SHOULDER THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES TOWARDS IRAQ. THE MINISTER NOTED THAT THE CABINET WELCOMED THE OUTCOMES OF THE JOINT MINISTERIAL MEETING IN ITS 17TH SESSION BETWEEN COUNTRIES OF GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL (GCC) AND THE EUROPEAN UNION HELD IN RIYADH ON TUESDAY. THE CABINET HOPED TO FINALIZE FREE TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TWO GROUPS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO ENHANCE THE ACTIVE ROLE OF THE TWO GROUPS IN ACHIEVING PROSPERITY, STABILITY AND PEACE IN THE REGION AND THE WORLD. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE CABINET WAS BRIEFED ON A REPORT BY MINISTER OF PETROLEUM AND MINERAL RESOURCES ON THE 2ND MINISTERIAL ROUND TABLE MEETING BETWEEN ENERGY PRODUCERS AND CONSUMERS IN ASIA HELD IN RIYADH AND ON ARAB 15TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF INVESTMENT AND CAPITAL MARKETS HELD IN BEIRUT. THE CABINET EMPHASIZED THAT SAUDI PETROLEUM POLICY LOCALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY SEEKS TO ACHIEVE TWO OBJECTIVES; NAMELY, THE WORK FOR THE STABILITY OF INTERNATIONAL OIL MARKET AND DIVERSIFICATION OF INCOME SOURCES AND NON-RELIANCE ON ONE COMMODITY. --MORE
