Ali explained that “Saudi Aramco will shift from a tactical view of Business Intelligence to one that is Strategic in nature and pervasive in its use with internal and external view including our partners, customers and vendors. Ultimately, our purpose is to derive strategic insight from our Business Intelligence and have our processes and information create value.” “To achieve these goals we will continue to focus on building our analytical skills to close the knowledge gap between available data versus our analytical capabilities. Closing this knowledge gap will enhance our execution capabilities. This will shift our use of Business Intelligence from mere monitoring to becoming predictive thus supporting real time decision making that should generate value.” In conclusion, Al-Ali highlighted that “this process is exactly that – a process. It is not a one off project with a completion date. The process will not end but will evolve as we learn more. It's a lasting commitment to value creation through leveraging Business Intelligence, People and Technology.”
