Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki delivered here last night a message from President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez, inviting him to visit Tehran in the near future, reported Iranian news agency "IRNA" today. Congratulating the Venezuelan president and nation on the occasion of the country's National Day, he said "The Middle East and Latin America are two major world regions both of which witnessed failure of the US policies last year." Praising amicable ties between Iran and Venezuela, Mottaki called for making joint investments both in Venezuela and in other Latin American states. Voicing his country's interest to further boost bilateral ties with Iran, he said Caracas will do its best to promote Iran's presence in Latin America. Mottaki arrived in Caracas on Wednesday afternoon and was warmly received by Venezuelan Deputy FM Vladimir Viegas and a number of top Foreign Ministry officials. -- SPA
