EU ministers discuss "systemic risks" posed by hedge funds

The activities of high-risk investment groups, such as hedge funds, formed a focus of the meeting of European Union finance ministers and central bank heads in Berlin on Friday.
Luxembourg Prime Minister and Finance Minister Jean-Claude Juncker called for more information on how hedge funds operated, dpa reported.
"We need greater transparency on hedge funds. We are working on this," Juncker said, speaking in his capacity as president of the 13-member Eurogroup of countries using the euro as currency.
