Three people were killed in a police chase and a subsequent incident in which gunmen forced their way into a hospital in the northern Mexican city of Tijuana. The gunmen - heavily armed and disguised as a special police unit - forced their way into the emergency room. They entered the hospital in the city on the US border Wednesday to free an accomplice, dap quoted local media reports as saying. The accomplice had previously been injured and another suspect shot dead during a police chase of the alleged criminals, who are accused of being involved in the illegal drug trade. More gunfire broke out with police at the hospital, and two police officers standing guard over the injured suspect were killed. About 400 patients and hospital personnel were evacuated and taken to safety. Police cordoned off the area around the hospital. The district attorney's office said two men have been arrested.
