Greek Development Minister Dimitris Sioufas and Romanian Minister of Economy and Finance Varujan Vosganian agreed in talks Thursday on intensifying the economic cooperation between their countries, dpa reported. According to Mediafax newsagency, during the talks in Bucharest the Romanian minister said he hoped for better cooperation with Greece in developing a local energy market. Sioufas, for his part, offered to provide support to Romania in more efficiently drawing on European Union funding. In 2006, the bilateral trade between Greece and Romania added up to just under one billion euros (1.36 billion dollars).
