THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ CHAIRED THE CABINET'S WEEKLY SESSION AT AL-YAMAMAH PALACE IN RIYADH ON MONDAY.
AT THE OUTSET OF THE SESSION, THE KING BRIEFED THE CABINET ON CONTACTS AND CONSULTATIONS HE HELD OVER THE PREVIOUS DAYS WITH A NUMBER OF LEADERS AND ENVOYS OF COUNTRIES AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS ON REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ISSUES AND THE DECISIONS OF THE 19TH ARAB SUMMIT WHICH WAS HELD IN RIYADH.
THE MONARCH LAUDED HIS MEETING WITH TURKMENISTAN'S PRESIDENT GURBANGULY BERDIMUHAMMEDOV AND THE KINGDOM'S KEENNESS ON RELATIONS OF FRIENDSHIP AND COOPERATION BINDING THE TWO COUNTRIES.
IN A STATEMENT TO THE SAUDI PRESS AGENCY (SPA) FOLLOWING THE SESSION, THE MINISTER OF CULTURE AND INFORMATION IYAD BIN AMIN MADANI SAID THE CABINET APPRECIATED THE KING'S ADDRESS TO THE SHOURA COUNCIL LAST SATURDAY WHICH COMES WITHIN HIS STRATEGIC VISION. THE MONARCH STRESSED THAT THE KINGDOM IS THE COUNTRY OF ISLAM COMMITTED TO SHARIA AND ITS VALUES OF JUSTICE, TOLERANCE AND PEACE; AND IT IS THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES. THE KINGDOM EXTENDS THE HAND OF FRIENDSHIP TO ITS BRETHREN, FRIENDS AND ALL HUMANKIND. THE KING NOTED THAT ALL CITIZENS ARE EQUAL IN THE KINGDOM AND ARE COMMITTED TO INCREASING THE ECONOMIC REVENUES OF ITS WEALTH AND RESOURCES.
THE CABINET EMPHASIZED THE VALUES OF BELIEF AND WORK ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIVES OF THE MONARCH. THE CABINET NOTED THAT THE EMBODIMENT OF THE KING'S VISION AND INSPIRATION OF ITS VALUES NECESSITATES COMMITMENT TO CRITERIA OF JUSTICE AND REALIZATION OF OBLIGATORY ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ALL OFFICIALS WHO RUN PEOPLE'S AFFAIRS. THE CABINET STRESSED THAT DEVELOPMENT SHOULD BE ACHIEVED BY DETERMINATION, MOVEMENT AND SACRIFICE TO PROTECT THE HOMELAND AND TO CONFRONT THOSE WHO ABUSE RELIGION, VALUES AND MORALITY. THE RULER IS RESPONSIBLE BEFORE ALMIGHTY ALLAH TO PROTECT THE HOMELAND'S SOVEREIGNTY, UNITY AND SECURITY. THE RULER SETS THE GOALS EMANATING FROM THIS VISION, VALUES AND CRITERIA SUCH AS THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION, MOVEMENT OF ECONOMY, PURSUIT OF POSSESSION OF TECHNOLOGY, RESTRUCTURING OF JUDICIARY, COMBATING CORRUPTION, EXPANSION OF TRAINING AND PROPAGATION OF LABOR CULTURE.
THE KINGDOM'S LEADING VISION AND CLEAR COMMITMENT TO ITS PROGRAM HAVE DEEPENED THE WAY INITIATED BY LATE KING ABDULAZIZ (MERCY BE UPON HIM) AND HIS FAITHFUL COMPANIONS, THE CABINET SAID.
