The Secretary General of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul-Rahman bin Hamad Al-Attiyah welcomed today the agreement signed between the Sudanese government and the African Union (AU) and the United Nations defining duties of AU and UN forces in Sudan's Darfur. Al-Attiyah lauded the great efforts exerted by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the current session president of the Supreme Council of the GCC, in this regard. Al-Attiyah expressed his hope that the agreement would lead to the end of the fabricated crisis in Darfur, wishing stability, peace, security and unity for the Sudanese people. -- SPA
