Two American helicopters crashed after an apparent collision Sunday north of Baghdad, killing two soldiers and wounding five others, the U.S. military said. The crash occurred southwest of Taji, 12 miles north of Baghdad, the military said in a statement. "An investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the incident; however, initial reports indicated it appears to be from a mid-air collision and not the result of enemy fire," the statement said. At least 11 U.S. helicopters have been downed this year in Iraq, the Associated Press reported.
