The Permanent Standing Committee for Ifta issued here last night a statement refuting allegations raised by some, who have recently argued that the Fatimids state is the best Islamic model state that adhered to Islam thoroughly and thus it should be applied at the present time. Recalling verses of the Holy Quran in which Allah Almighty said "And Hold fast , All together by the Rope which God ( stretches out for you), and do not be divided among yourselves" (Al-i-Imran, verse 103) and also "And fall into no disputes, lest ye loose heart And you power depart," (Al-Anfal, verse 46), the Committee clarified that the only way to follow Islam is to adhere to Quran and to the prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) authenticated sayings and deeds as well as following the steps of the Prophet's (PBUH) companions (May Allah be pleased with them all)."It is Important to highlight on this matter as advice and admonition is basic concept in Islam, therefore the false argument can be refuted as follows: "-- The allegation that the Fatimids dynasty is related to the Daughter of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is false as the relation was investigated, then refuted by the Muslim scholars and historians in the past centuries and scripted in reference books. This term is wrongly used to mislead Muslims and also to gain more sympathy to them. -- The founder of Fatimids was a Magi(Magus religion)and was called Saeed bin Al-Hassan bin Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Maymoun Al-Qaddah AL-Ahwazi. When he was planning to expose his missionary activities he named himself Ubaidullah and Al-Mahdi . The right term, however is Ubaideyah state not Fatimids as the state name is mostly derived from the founder of the dynasty not Fatimids as it is now widely circulated. -- The Fatimids founder tries to legitimize his claim to power through claiming descent from the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) or the House of the Prophet, or the house of the fourth righteous Caliph Ali (May Allah Be pleased with him) to gain more power, he (Al-Qaddaha) alleged that he is a descendant of Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq, he did this, to trick and drag common Muslims to his mischievous scheme. -- The Fatimids, however, covered their true beliefs which were a combination of Magus and paganism with pretentious love and practice of Shi'ism more specifically Ismaili. But they were more atheist than followers of Islam or any sect that may be related to Islam. -- During the Fatimids Era , they permitted and legalized what is considered in Islam forbidden such as blood shedding, insulting prophets of Allah and above all claiming divinity. -- Thus the Fatimids in their heinous deeds, harms Islam and Muslims greatly, hence their decay by Saladin was widely welcomed by all Muslims." In conclusion, The Permanent Standing Committee for Ifta reiterated that Muslims should not be called to follow this rouge infamous dynasty, because this kind of action is considered to be as an act of betrayal to Islam and Muslims."
