Senior Indian and Pakistani defense officials on Friday began talks in the garrison town of Rawalpindi on demilitarizing the world's highest battlefield straddling Siachen glacier in the Himalayas region. Defense secretaries Shekhar Dutt of India and Kamran Rasool of Pakistan are leading their delegations in the two-day discussions that are part of a composite dialogue being pursued by the two neighboring countries since 2004, the German News Agency "DPA" reported.
