Malaysian Higher Educational Exhibition was opened in Sana'a yesterday to promote academic studies in Malaysian universities. Yemen News Agency "Saba" reported that twelve Malaysian universities are taking part in the exhibition. The two-day exhibition was opened by deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mohammed Mutahar, who affirmed the importance of the exhibition to enhance educational cooperation between Yemen and Malaysia. Mutahar made it clear that there are 2000 Yemeni students studying in Malaysia, wishing that the exhibition would be a chance for cooperation agreements between Yemeni and Malaysian universities. Representative of the Malaysian higher education Ismail Rashid said that the objective of the exhibition is to promote academic studies in Malaysia, hoping that it would boost ties between educational institutions in both countries.
