Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf received here Wednesday Speaker of the Iranian Majlis Ghulam-Ali Haddad. During the reception, they discussed ways of bolstering the bilateral relations between the two countries in addition to the Iran- Pakistan-India gas pipeline. Haddad considered the execution of transporting Iranian gas to the Indian Peninsula a "positive step" towards contributing to establishment of permanent peace and security in the region. Haddad affirmed that his country will use nuclear power for peaceful purposes. On his part, Musharraf stressed the necessity to make use of the potentials of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to achieve solidarity among all Islamic countries. Commenting on the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, he hoped that the project will soon be implemented. He affirmed that the project will usher in an era of peace in the region and will also benefit its peoples.
