As many as 11 heads of local and international contracting companies and Saudi Aramco executives, led by Abdullah S. Al-Saif, senior vice president of Exploration and Producing, met recently in Milan to review the latest developments in the Khurais expansion project. Khurais is considered the largest crude-oil expansion project in the history of Saudi Aramco and among the largest projects implemented worldwide, according to a report carried yesterday by Saudi Aramco web-site. Salem S. Al-Aydh, senior vice president of Engineering and Operations Services, expressed satisfaction with the magnitude of achievements made by the project team. He emphasized that Saudis should be proud of the huge challenge they are successfully meeting. Mohammad A. Juwair, general manager of Southern Area Projects, opened the meeting and hailed the remarkable partnership between Saudi Aramco and its contractors - a collaboration that has to success in the Khurais project. --MORE
