PRESIDED OVER BY ITS CHAIRMAN SHEIKH DR. SALIH BIN ABDULLAH BIN HOMAID, Shoura Council discussed today a request submitted by the Council's Security Affairs Committee regarding amending Article 4 of organizing treatment of people coming to the Kingdom on Hajj or Umrah visas. In a press statement, Assistance Secretary General of the Council Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya said that the Council decided to give the Security Committee more time to submit its observations before responding to the members' views regarding the amendment. The Council then completed its deliberations on the draft of living creatures research ethics submitted by the Health and Environment Affairs Committee. The Council also listened to a report from the member Eng. Farhan bin Raghian Al-Balawi on the Council's participation in a regional parliamentary meeting titled "Internal Regulations of Legislative Councils... Reality and Reform Challenges in the Arab world" which was held in Rabat on 28-29 March 2007 in addition to a report from Dr. Abdulrahman bin Salih Al-Atrum on the Council's participation in the 3rd parliamentary symposium entitled "Facilities Laws for Disabled" which was held under the umbrella of the Arab Parliamentary Union and hosted by Yemeni Shoura Council in Sanaa on 21-22 March 2007.
