SALIH BIN ABDULLAH BIN HOMAID, THE SHOURA COUNCIL LAUDED THE OUTCOME OF THE RECENTLY-CONCLUDED ARAB SUMMIT, EXTENDING APPRECIATION OF THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ FOR HIS WISE ADMINISTRATION OF THE SUMMIT'S SESSIONS. ADDRESSING THE SHOURA COUNCIL MEETING, BIN HOMAID SAID THE SHOURA COUNCIL WAS FOLLOWING WITH INTEREST THE DEVELOPMENTS OF THE SUMMIT, INCLUDING THE ISSUANCE OF RIYADH DECLARATION, AND SUMMIT'S RESOLUTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS CALLING FOR THE UNITY OF ARAB RANKS AND ENDEAVOR FOR BRINGING ABOUT PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND THE WORLD AT LARGE. THE SHOURA COUNCIL SAID THE SUMMIT HAD IN-DEPTH DISCUSSIONS AND DECISIONS ON THE POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, EDUCATIONAL, AND DEVELOPMENTAL ISSUES OF THE ARAB WORLD. IN A STATEMENT TO THE SAUDI PRESS AGENCY, AHMED BIN ABDULAZIZ AL-YAHYA, ASSISTANT SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE SHOURA COUNCIL SAID THE COUNCIL THEN REVIEWED A NUMBER OF DOMESTIC MATTERS, INCLUDING A PROTOCOL ON IMMIGRANTS TRAFFICKING COMBAT ACROSS LAND, SEA AND AIR BORDERS AND A PROTOCOL ON PREVENTION, DETERRENCE AND PUNISHMENT ON TRADE OF PERSONS, PARTICULARLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN. THE COUNCIL AMENDED PARAGRAPH (C) OF ARTICLE 10 OF THE MILITARY SERVICE COUNCIL SYSTEM, AL-YAHYA SAID.
