IRAQ'S PRESIDENT JALAL AL-TALBANI PRAISED THE OUTCOME OF THE RECENTLY-CONCLUDED 19TH ARAB SUMMIT IN RIYADH. IN A PRESS CONFERENCE FOLLOWING THE ACCREDITATION OF THE U.S. AND JAPAN NEW AMBASSADORS TO BAGHDAD, AL-TALBANI SAID THE SUMMIT'S DECISIONS ON IRAQ WERE GOOD, NOTING THAT THE CONFEREES HAVE ISSUED CLEAR-CUT DENUNCIATIONS OF TERRORISM. THE SUMMIT ALSO CALLED FOR THE ASSISTANCE OF THE IRAQI PEOPLE IN ALL FIELDS AND PROVISION OF HELP FOR THE IRAQI GOVERNMENT TO ACHIEVE NATIONAL RECONCILIATION IN IRAQ. HE STATED THAT ALL REQUESTS PRESENTED BY THE IRAQI DELEGATION WERE ACCEPTED BY THE ARAB FOREIGN MINISTERS AND LEADERS ALIKE.
