based 'Al-Yaum' newspaper inquired: 'Is it possible to say that Arab history starts after the 28th of March? and is it also possible to consider this date as the beginning of a new era as regards joint Arab action? owing to the frankness of the Arabs themselves, and out of fervent appeal of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to all Arab leaders to engage in self-assessment and opt for corrective measures? The paper said the response is optimistic, since this summit reflected simple peoples' demands and dreams to an extent which makes us say that this summit turned out to be the one reflecting common aspirations and hopes of every Arab person who moves day and night in the streets of Arab villages and Arab cities around the entire Arab World." It concluded that Arab citizens feel that their leaders shouldered their responsibilities for what happens, and addressed them directly, thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques who inaugurated an unprecedented new phase which should be heeded.
