Watan newspaper considered the current summit as one of the best of Arab summits with regard to the attendance and representation. It said the summit won unprecedented international, regional and Islamic support which was represented by leaders of the most powerful and important Islamic states, Chairman of Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD), President of the UN General Assembly, UN Secretary General and EU Chief of Foreign Policy, and Secretary Generals of Islamic regional, political, cultural and economic organizations. The paper added that the world is looking forward to the summit resolutions and results with utmost importance, since the Kingdom led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques presides over this summit. Al-Watan stated that the Saudi diplomacy is known for its credibility at the international level in addition to Riyadh's weightage in both the economic and political fields. "Moreover, the Kingdom has religious value in its capacity as the land of the Islamic holy places." The paper concluded: Riyadh has devoted itself and its economic and political power resources for Arab Muslim causes, and God's willing, it is capable to achieve the aims of the summit and to follow up its results despite the despicable campaigns against it. -- More
