THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES, KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE 19TH ARAB SUMMIT, HELD A MEETING HERE LAST NIGHT WITH SUDANESE PRESIDENT OMAR AL-BASHEER; FORMER PRESIDENT OF MALI AND HEAD OF THE AFRICAN UNION'S COMMISSION ALPHA OMAR KONARI; UN'S SECRETARY GENERAL BAN KI-MOON AND ARAB LEAGUE'S SECRETARY GENERAL AMR MOUSA. THEY REVIEWED THE CURRENT SITUATION IN DARFUR PROVINCE AND MEANS OF ENDING THE EXISTING DISPUTE IN THIS SUDANESE PROVINCE. A STATEMENT WILL BE ISSUED IN THIS RESPECT LATER. THE MEETING WAS ATTENDED BY PRINCE SAUD AL-FAISAL, THE FOREIGN MINISTER, HIS SUDANESE COUNTERPART LAM AKOL AND OTHER OFFICIALS.
