LEBANESE PRESIDENT EMILE LAHOUD HAS HAILED EFFORTS MADE BY THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ AND HIS WISE GOVEFRNMENT TO UNIFY RANKS AND ACHIEVE UTMOST COOPERATION AMONG ARAB COUNTRIES. IN A PRESS STATEMENT AFTER ARRIVING IN RIYADH TO ATTEND THE ARAB SUMMIT, HE SAID THE MEETING IS BEING HELD AMID GRAVE CHALLENGES IN LEBANON, PALESTINE AND IRAQ. HE SAID SUCH DEVELOPMENTS REQUIRE ARAB LEADERS TO EXERT CONSIDERABLE EFFORTS TO UNIFY RANKS AND FORESTALL CONSPIRACIES BEING HATCHED TO MARGINALIZE ARAB ROLE WORLDWIDE. HE CALLED FOR BACKING LEBANON TO REMAIN STRONG, INVIGORATE ITS ECONOMY, OVERCOME ITS CURRENT POLITICAL CRISIS AND REGAIN PROSPERITY. HE THANKED ALL ARAB COUNTRIES , PARTICULARLY THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA, FOR EXTENDING SUPPORT TO LEBANON SINCE THE RECENT WAR WITH ISRAEL, WISHING THE SUMMIT EVERY SUCCESS.
