The Navies of Pakistan and France would have three-day joint exercise from March 31, outside Karachi harbour. This exercise symbolizes friendly relations between navies of two countries, said Captain Xavier Rebour, Commandant of visiting French F67 class destroyer Tourville specialized in anti- submarine warfare, the Pakistan Press International (PPI) reported today. He said the exercise will help to know each other more closely. Pakistan and French navies have been helping each other in war against terrorism over past many years, he noted. ``French Navy is now coming back to Pakistan after year 2002. We came here last year and early this month participated in multinational naval exercise hosted by Pakistan Navy in North Arabian Sea,'' Captain Rebour said Tuesday. He said France had provided Pakistan Navy with state-of-art Agosta 90B Submarines, with transfer of technology as well as mine hunters.
