At least three Iraqis were killed and eight wounded Friday in a twin attack in Kirkuk, northern Iraq, police said. An explosive device targeting a police patrol went off in eastern Kirkuk and was followed by an armed attack, dpa quoted senior police officer Shirzad Abdullah as saying. Two policemen and one civilian were killed and eight people were wounded, including four policemen. Also in Kirkuk, 250 kilometres north of Baghdad, police found four corpses - two were policemen and exhibited signs of torture and bullet wounds. Meanwhile in Tikrit, 180 kilometres north of Baghdad, one US soldier died from injuries caused by an explosion in Salah Eddin province Thursday, the US military reported Friday. Another soldier was wounded.
