Pakistan is fielding a strong group of 70 engineering sector companies in world's leading technology exhibition Hanover 2007, Pakistan's Engineering Development Board (EDB) has announced. The companies fielded by EDB would represent four different technology categories i.e. subcontracting, industrial automation, energy and compressed air and vacuum technology. Reviewing the outcome of Hanover 2006, Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives Jehangir Tareen expressed yesterday satisfaction over the post-Hanover export performance of participating companies, majority of which have started exporting to European and Middle East countries. He appreciated the efforts of four companies which have been able to pull off JV, Technical collaboration and licensing agreement in different areas. Tareen advised EDB to carry out in-depth post-Hanover analysis of the auto sector companies to ascertain their performance and technological requirements.
