SALIH BIN ABDULLAH BIN HOMAID, THE SHOURA COUNCIL HELD ITS 76TH ORDINARY SESSION, APPROVING THE NATIONAL DRAFT PLAN FOR COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, PRESENTED BY THE TRANSPORT, COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE. IN A STATEMENT TO THE SAUDI PRESS AGENCY FOLLOWING THE MEETING, ASSISTANT SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE SHOURA COUNCIL AHMED ALYAHYA SAID THE COUNCIL DISCUSSED A NUMBER OF BILLS, INCLUDING THE PROTECTION OF PUBLIC UTILITIES SYSTEM, EXTRADITION OF CONVICTED AMONG THE GCC MEMBER STATES AND A SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION OF THE KINGDOM AND THE MINISTER OF HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA. DISCUSSION OF THE BILLS WILL BE COMPLETED IN FUTURE SESSIONS, THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY GENERAL SAID.
