The Afghanistan embassy here handed over a parcel it received in its mail to police suspecting it to contain a bomb or anthrax this afternoon, reported Bernama News Agency. The police bomb squad which later destroyed the white parcel using water pressure found it to contain thousands of cards addressed to the embassy, deputy police chief Mohd Fauzi Abduri said. The embassy received the envelope through an ordinary mail at 10 am local time and handed it to the police at about 1.30 pm when it was suspected to contain biological weapon, anthrax or a bomb, he told reporters here Thursday. He added that the bomb squad and police forensic unit destroyed the parcel at Ampang police station 3.26 pm.
