The Malaysian Air Force is to get six Russian jet fighters Su-30 MKM next May. This will be an initial batch of 18 warplanes to be delivered to Malaysia under a 2003 contract, reported Malaysian news agency today. The Air Force command said in a statement issued on Friday that an official ceremony of turning over the Su-30 MKM fighters would be held in April in Russia. The price of the contract is 900 million dollars. The addition of the fighters to the Air Force will make Malaysia a holder of one of the most efficient aircraft in Southeast and South Asia. -- SPA
