The Secretary General of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Attiyah lauded the prominent and distinguished role played by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who is also Chairman of GCC Supreme Council, on various Arab and Islamic issues. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he said that the meeting between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed to develop relations between the two countries and support just issues. The meeting highlighted the important and distinguished role played by GCC countries at the regional and international levels as well as the important successes achieved by the Gulf diplomacy in supporting Arab and regional issues, he added.
