Hungarian police have suspended a senior officer after he accidentally shot and killed one of his colleagues, MTI news agency reported on Sunday. A spokesman for Budapest police, Tibor Jarmy, said that the accident happened at a Budapest police station as the two men were coming off duty. While Jarmy refused to disclose further details, news website index.hu said that the gun went off accidentally in the elevator as the two men were larking about.
