PRINCE TURKI AL-FAISAL,THE SAUDI AMBASSADOR TO THE US, ATTENDED A MEETING ORGANIZED BY THE OFFICE OF THE SAUDI CULTURAL ATTACHE AND THE CLUBS OF SAUDI STUDENTS AT KANSAS UNIVERSITY LAST NIGHT.
SPEAKING ON THE OCCASION, PRINCE TURKI SAID THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES, KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ HAD ASKED HIM WHEN HE WAS APPOINTED AS THE SAUDI AMBASSADOR TO THE US TO TAKE CARE OF THE SAUDI STUDENTS WHO ARE PURSUING THEIR ACADEMIC STUDIES IN THE US.
HE URGED THE STUDENTS TO ADHERE TO THE TEACHINGS OF ISLAM AND TO BEHAVE WELL.
HE ALSO CALLED UPON THE STUDENTS TO DEVOTE THEIR EFFORTS IN SEEKING KNOWLEDGE AND REPRESENTING THEMSELVES AS AMBASSADORS OF THEIR COUNTRY TO THE AMERICAN SOCIETY.
PRINCE TURKI LAUNCHED AN INTERNET WEBSITE OF THE SAUDI STUDENTS AND HANDED OVER PRIZES TO FOUR STUDENTS CLUBS WHICH ENGAGED INTO EXCELLENT ACTIVITIES LAST YEAR.
HE RECEIVED A MEMORIAL SHIELD FROM THE SAUDI STUDENTS.
ON BEHALF OF THE STUDENTS WHO ARE ON SCHOLARSHIPS, MOHAMMED AL-ANAZI EXPRESSED APPRECIATION FOR THE GREAT ATTENTION BEING GIVEN BY THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES, KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ AND CROWN PRINCE SULTAN BIN ABDULAZIZ TO THE YOUTH SECTOR.
HE LAUDED THE RECENT DECISION ISSUED BY THE CABINET PERTAINING TO HEALTH INSURANCE FOR THE STUDENTS IN THE US.
MORE THAN 200 SAUDI STUDENTS ATTENDED THE FUNCTION.
