Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal and his Iranian counterpart Manuchehr Motaki asserted in a phone call last night the need to continue consultations to settle the crisis in Lebanon and to reach a just solution that satisfy both sides. Prince Saud and Motaki expressed their concern about the situation in Iraq and stressed the need for cooperation between the countries of the region, particularly the countries neighboring Iraq in order to assist the Iraqi government to bring stability and security. The Iranian News Agency said that Prince Saud Al-Faisal praised Motaki's proposal on holding a meeting for the countries neighboring Iraq in Baghdad, clarifying that the Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari is continuing his consultations for the early convening of this meeting in Baghdad. Also, the two sides discussed ways of enhancing the bilateral relations between Tehran and Riyadh and called for more consultations between the two countries in this regard.
