A charter aircraft with Norwegian tourists aboard was forced to make a "controlled emergency landing" at Copenhagen's Kastrup airport Saturday after a drop in cabin pressure, DPA reported. The drop was noted shortly after the plane took off from Oslo en route to Alicante, a spokesman for airline Sterling told the online edition of Verdens Gang newspaper. Oxygen masks were released for all passengers while the pilot quickly dropped the plane to a lower altitude. The situation "was under control at all times," the spokesman said. The incident was nonetheless "dramatic" from the passengers' point of view, the spokesman said, although calm was maintained. The affected passengers were delayed in the Danish capital while further transport was arranged.
