The Visiting Chairman of the Pakistan Senate Foreign Relations Committee Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed and his accompanying delegation conferred here yesterday with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki to discuss issues of common interest between the two countries and ways to expand bilateral and regional cooperation. During the meeting, Mottaki said " On mutual agreements, the level of trade exchanges will increase to one billion U.S. Dollars, adding that the execution of "Peace Gas Line Project" will be a symbol of long-term cooperation among regional countries. Mottaki expressed Iran's readiness to develop and exploit peaceful use of nuclear technology and Iran's readiness to develop cooperation with neighboring and Islamic countries. "We have always been ready for negotiations to remove possible concerns of the other sides and fulfill Iranian inalienable rights to use peaceful nuclear technology". For his part, Chairman of the Foreign relations Committee of Pakistan's Senate described as "positive" the consultations and talks with senior Iranian officials.
